As Head of Customs (m/f/d), you are responsible for the customs compliance of the Heinemann Group – strategically, proactively and with direct influence on international business processes.
In particular, you willlead and develop your Customs team both professionally and disciplinarily develop the customs strategy for the Heinemann Group manage and enhance customs-related processes across the entire group ensure customs compliance for all group companies coordinate collaboration with other departments to optimize customs-relevant processes (e.g. master data, returns management, monitoring of blocked stock) integrate customs-related aspects into strategic projects (e.g. tenders, M&A, SAP rollouts, complex supplier and customer contracts) and actively contribute your expertise to business decisions act as the central point of contact for customs and financial authorities
What you should bring along

Completed university degree in economics or law (master's or equivalent, e.g. certified financial advisor) Many years of professional experience in the field of customs and in dealing with authorities In-depth knowledge of EU and German customs and excise law, as well as VAT regulations Strong analytical skills and the ability to proactively and independently develop solutions for complex issues Excellent communication skills, persuasiveness and decision-making ability Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken
