: Ransbach - Baumbach
The Specialist Sustainability will support the Director Sustainability and collaborates closely with the other Sustainability Specialists in managing environmental permitting (BImSchG, UVPG, WHG, BNatSchG, BBergG), coordinating recultivation, and ensuring compliance with German environmental legislation. The role includes close cooperation with local authorities and stakeholders as well as the proactive implementation of sustainability initiatives.
The tasks of the position include
Support, monitor and implement environmental and authorisation procedures (BImSchG, UVPG, WHG, BNatSchG, BBergG).
Coordinate recultivation measures and land rehabilitation projects.
Contribute to the administration and management of land and assets.
Implement corporate sustainability guidelines, regulations and strategies.
Engage with local communities, authorities and key stakeholders on environmental matters.
Develop and support initiatives to improve the company’s perception among the public and stakeholders.
Provide input for and implement global programs and KPIs. Work with the global Sustainability Team on projects and case studies.
About you:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in environmental management, geography, mining, administrative law or comparable field.
Initial professional experience in sustainability, environmental protection or permitting desirable, motivated graduates will also be considered.
Interest and willingness to develop expertise in environmental and nature conservation law, mining law and permitting procedures.
Basic knowledge of GIS and reporting systems is an advantage.
Proficient in German and English (written and spoken).
Structured, organised and analytical way of working.
High level of commitment, flexibility, teamwork and willingness to travel.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
