Lead the Future of Offshore Wind Engineering



Join our team in Hamburg as an Engineering Manager, where you will play a key role in advancing sustainable energy solutions through innovative offshore wind projects. We are approximately 175 offshore wind experts in Europe working alongside our customers on some of the world’s most innovative offshore wind projects. And we are proud to have contributed to projects like Empire Wind (USA), St. Nazaire (France), Nordlicht (Germany), and Choshi/Akita (Japan).


As Engineering Manager – Offshore Wind, you will:

Lead Engineering and Project Delivery



Oversee FEED and detailed design of offshore wind foundations. Manage risk, quality, cost, document control, and contracts. Lead multi-disciplinary teams, including discipline leads and design teams. Develop cohesive, multi-location project teams with support from our Engineering Design Centre. Resolve technical queries and ensure project delivery aligns with COWI’s global best practices.

Provide Technical Leadership



Offer specialist advice to clients, stakeholders, and international colleagues. Ensure high technical standards and innovative solutions across all projects. Act as a key technical authority in offshore wind engineering.

Champion Business Development



Contribute to bids, tenders, and client engagement with the Market Director and bid team. Develop valuable partnerships with clients to boost COWI's presence within the industry. Support recruitment and growth of our offshore wind teams in Germany.

Strengthen Technical Community



Champion best practices and technical excellence across projects. Ensure consistent application of engineering standards and promote technical innovation. Collaborate with COWI’s international community to deliver integrated, high-quality services in Germany.

On top of that, you will have:

A degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering or a related field (BSc, MSc or PhD) Extensive experience in offshore wind project delivery – design, owner’s engineer, or similar Demonstrated ability in managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams and complex projects Deep knowledge of offshore wind foundation types and sector-specific engineering challenges Proficient communication skills in both German and English, written and spoken
