What to Expect

Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Technicians are a critical part of the EHS team at Tesla. Reporting to the Manager EHS within a specific line of production, the EHS Technician is involved in a wide range of work across multiple EHS programs. The EHS Technician supports day-to-day operations by handling EHS inspections, improving employee engagement, collecting, and recording EHS information, and driving continuous improvement of overall EHS processes and systems.

What You'll Do

Maintain a strong presence on the floor to engage with stakeholders and operators, promoting a proactive safety culture. Support supervisors with incident investigations, classification, Learning Teams, corrective actions, risk assessments, and safety procedures. Assist EHS Representatives in driving continuous safety improvements across the workplace. Oversee the practical implementation of safety measures, including signage, placards, and Lockout/Tagout programs (labeling, training verification, lock distribution). Conduct and document daily, weekly, and monthly EHS inspections, reporting potential hazards or improvement opportunities. Collect environmental field data to support compliance and reporting programs. Provide key support for hazardous materials management, chemical approval processes, risk assessments, and on-site implementation of safe operating instructions.

What You'll Bring

Minimum 2+ years of experience in the automotive industry. Fundamental understanding of general manufacturing safety practices. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Capable of responding quickly to employee health emergencies and activating emergency procedures. Flexible to work second or third shifts and weekends as required. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS). Demonstrated strengths in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability. Willingness to work night shifts when needed.
