Director Event Management (m/f/d)

Your key responsibilities include:
Lead and delegate the day-to-day operations of the Event Management team
, of approximately ten team members
Oversee the planning and operational execution of conventions, meetings, and events
for up to 1,200 guests, ensuring flawless delivery and client satisfaction
Act as the strategic point of contact for clients during the planning phase
, ensuring all details are captured and expectations exceeded
Collaborate closely with Convention Sales, Banqueting, and other departments
to guarantee seamless coordination and resource allocation
Develop and implement event planning standards, timelines, and quality control
measures
to optimize efficiency and guest experience
Responsible for establishing and monitoring budgets, forecasts, and profitability
for planned events, ensuring financial targets are met
Drive
innovation in event concepts and planning processes
to maintain our competitive edge
Represent the hotel during site inspections and planning meetings
with professionalism and enthusiasm
Ensure
compliance with brand standards and legal requirements
throughout all event operations
Train, coach, and develop your team members,
fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
Report directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing
, contribute to strategic business goals, and share responsibility for budget and forecast creation
Be able.
Several years of experience in event planning and management within the hospitality industry, ideally in a leadership role
Strong organizational and project management skills with a keen eye for detail
Ability to coach, motivate, and develop a high-performing team
Excellent communication skills in German and English; additional languages are a plus
Proficiency in Opera and other event management systems
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive under pressure
