We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Lead to oversee our “ERP Applications – Integration & Solution Architecture” team. The role will involve leading a team of professionals to design, integrate, and implement ERP solutions that meet our business needs including budget management and adequate resource allocation.



The jobholder owns the strategy of the IT unit to actively support BioNTech’s company goals, while ensuring compliance (SOX404, IT and GxP) and scalability of all involved systems as well as process governance and cross-functional alignment of the functional teams.



The head of “ERP Applications – Integration & Solution Architecture” is a critical role in ensuring that the cross functional and cross system operations are optimized and that the ERP systems are functioning effectively. To do so the jobholder is working aligned and in close collaboration with the respective process owner, ERP Applications leadership, ERP program, business functions and our external partners.

Your responsibilities include:

Leading the “ERP Applications – Integration & Solution Architecture” team in developing and implementing robust solution architectures Owns the strategy of the “ERP Applications – Integration & Solution Architecture” IT unit that aligns with the organization's overall strategy and goals. Overlook the design and execution of end-to-end (SAP) ERP integration processes Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering professional growth and development Develop and steer the budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to support the organization's strategic objectives Key contact person and escalation body for Senior Management Steer the development of the roadmap in alignment with the other stakeholders from IT and business, that outlines the future direction of the ERP systems and how they will support the organization's growth and development Ensure that the systems in responsibility are scalable and flexible to meet the changing needs of the organization Acts as a key contact in audits related with SAP ERP. Assure the IT, SOX404 and GxP compliance of the SAP ERP-systems Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and service providers that support the ERP systems, ensuring that they are meeting their contractual obligations and providing high-quality services Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including senior executives, other department heads, and business unit leaders

What you have to offer:

Completed relevant higher education and many years of professional experience in relevant field (10+ years) Deep understanding of integrated ERP systems and deep understanding in multiple SAP ERP modules. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry Experience in GxP and SOX404 regulations Deep understanding of large-scale business transformations and ERP programs Experience in leading highly skilled people and/or leaders Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Fluency in English, German is a plus
