As a Delivery Station Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational excellence of our delivery station in Duisburg. This role involves leading a team to ensure efficient and timely processing and dispatch of packages, while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise, motivate, and develop a team of delivery station associates, including performance management, training, and scheduling.
Oversee the inbound and outbound flow of packages, ensuring efficient sorting, loading, and dispatch operations according to established procedures.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery success rates, on-time performance, and productivity, taking corrective actions as needed.
Implement and enforce company safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for all team members.
Collaborate with other departments, including logistics, customer service, and transportation, to resolve operational issues and optimize workflows.
Manage equipment and resource allocation, ensuring proper utilization and maintenance of delivery station assets.
Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Handle and resolve operational escalations and customer service inquiries related to deliveries.
Maintain accurate records and prepare operational reports as required.
Job Qualifications
Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a logistics, warehousing, or transportation environment, preferably in a delivery station setting.
Strong understanding of logistics operations, including sorting, dispatch, and delivery processes.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a diverse workforce.
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant logistics software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in German and English.
Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as operational needs dictate.
A relevant degree or vocational training in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
