Data Scientist – Academic Track

We’re looking for a

Data Scientist

to join our growing team in Berlin and support the development of our product and data capabilities.


This role is ideal for someone with a

strong academic background

in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field, who is looking to apply their knowledge in a fast-moving, product-focused environment.


You’ll work closely with senior team members and gain hands-on experience with modelling, experimentation, and user behaviour analytics.

What You’ll Work On

Assist in building and evaluating machine learning models that help personalise recommendations and improve user engagement and conversion Support the development and optimisation of incentives and reward structures Work with data analytics and engineering to improve data pipelines and data quality Contribute to documentation, measurement plans, and experimentation frameworks Help define and track KPIs to ensure analyses and models support real product impact

Your Role

Take ownership of smaller projects and features under the guidance of senior data scientists Collaborate with product managers and engineers to integrate models and insights into the product Support improvements in data workflows and processes Participate in technical discussions and bring forward analytical ideas and observations

You Have

------------

A strong academic background in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field Solid understanding of statistical modelling, experimentation, and data analysis Experience with Python and SQL, gained through coursework, research projects, or internships Familiarity with machine learning tools such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams
