Aufgaben

Develop and Refine Data Strategy:

Lead the creation and ongoing refinement of our enterprise-wide data strategy, aligning it with the overall corporate objectives and the specific needs of our various business units. This includes defining data governance, data architecture, data quality, and data utilization frameworks.

Collaborate with Business Units:

Partner extensively with leaders and teams across all business units to understand their data requirements, challenges, and opportunities. Translate business needs into actionable data initiatives.

Drive Operational Implementation: Provide hands-on support and guidance in the operational implementation of data strategy initiatives. This includes advising on technology selection, data collection methodologies, data integration, and the development of analytics capabilities.

Promote Data Literacy and Culture: Champion a data-driven culture throughout the organization. Develop and deliver training programs, best practices, and communication strategies to enhance data literacy and foster a shared understanding of data's value.

Establish Data Governance:

Design and implement robust data governance including operating frameworks, policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, GDPR).

Identify and Evaluate New Technologies & Innovations: Stay abreast of emerging data technologies, trends, and best practices. Evaluate and recommend new tools and platforms that can enhance our data capabilities and provide a competitive advantage.

Lead and Mentor:

Act as a key mentor and advisor to data-focused roles within the business units.

Performance Measurement

: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for data initiatives and monitor their effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure strategic objectives are met.
Profil

We are seeking a strategic and execution-oriented functional leader who can define a forward-looking data strategy while driving operational data programs in close partnership with business stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in data governance and architecture with strong business acumen, change leadership, and the ability to align cross-functional teams around measurable outcomes. The ideal candidate brings:



Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in data strategy, data governance, or enterprise data management with 5+ years in a leadership role. Proven success in leading cross-functional data initiatives and managing complex stakeholder environments. Proven track record in designing and building scalable and secure data & analytics platforms. Proven track record as agile Product Owner, Flight Levels Architect or OKR Strong knowledge of data architecture, cloud platforms, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR), and modern data tools. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels, including executive leadership. Experience with frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK, TOGAF, or APQC. Certification in data governance, security (e.g. CDMP, CISSP) or cloud platforms. Business fluent English and German skills. Manufacturing experience is a plus. Das bieten wir
