Our German client is a leading global manufacturer of components, systems, and solutions for industrial automation with more than 300 Mio Euro sales revenue per year. As the current General Manager Korea/Branch Manager Seoul will be retiring next year, the German headquarters is seeking a young and ambitious sales professional to strategically and systematically expand the business in Korea and work closely with the German headquarters. This individual will be a member of the global management team.

Your tasks:

Management

Overall responsibility and profit and loss responsibility for the Korean/Seoul sales office with 5-10 employees; management of the subsidiary team and cultivation of good working relationships through employee development and leading by example to improve organizational development Adaptation of the Korean organization to the corporate strategy; Optimization and management of the subsidiary based on key performance indicators (KPIs).

Sales

Further development of the Korean business, identification of opportunities for sustainable and profitable growth. Focus on selling systems and solutions (rather than selling products ); Ensure that the local market requirements are known to the German headquarters.

Your profile:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field; an MBA or higher degree is an advantage. At least ten years of experience in sales, preferably in the automation or mechanical engineering industry Professional experience in a global organization with cross-border activities, preferably with German or Western (EU/US) companies in Seoul or Germany. Languages: English is a must; If you speak fluent German or are a native speaker, basic knowledge of Korean and a willingness to acquire further knowledge will be accepted. If you are not fluent in German, fluent or native-level Korean skills, including reading and writing, are mandatory. German language skills are, however, a significant advantage.
