Job Purpose
WHD is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Content Editor to lead content efforts across our flagship brands CloudFest and MSP Global.
This is a hybrid editorial and commercial content role. The Content Editor will be responsible for building and engaging WHD’s owned audiences through high-quality brand content, while also delivering paid content marketing solutions for partners.
The role combines hands-on writing and editing, editorial strategy, audience growth, and the management of contributors and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will either have previous experience leading an editorial team or be a highly ambitious editor ready to grow into a senior leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
Own and deliver the editorial strategy for CloudFest and MSP Global (MSPG)
Produce a minimum of 3 high-quality articles per brand per week (CloudFest and MSPG)
Create content that attracts, informs and engages audiences year-round.
Work closely with marketing, events and data teams to align content with audience insights and performance goals
Lead the editorial delivery of paid content marketing and sponsorship packages
Create and edit partner content including (but not limited to): Sponsored articles and reports, Thought leadership pieces. Interview-based content, Campaign-led content series
Support the delivery of content solutions ranging from: Entry-level add-ons, Multi-touch campaigns, Year-round engagement programmes for key partners
Balance editorial quality and brand integrity with commercial objectives
Collaborate with sales and account teams to ensure content delivers against partner KPIs (leads, engagement, reach)
Write and edit content personally, while also briefing, managing and editing work from external contributors and freelancers
Build and maintain a reliable pool of external writers and subject-matter experts
Ensure consistency of tone, quality and brand voice across all content
Develop scalable processes for content production as the content operation grows
Candidate Profile
Experience & Skills:

Strong editorial background in B2B, tech, SaaS, cloud, MSP or adjacent industries
Proven ability to write, edit and commission high-quality content
Experience delivering content against commercial objectives
Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, partners and clients
Ability to manage multiple content streams and deadlines simultaneously
Data-aware: understands how content performance, audience behaviour and lead generation connect
Ideally previous experience leading or managing an editorial team
Experience working with sponsored or branded content
Understanding of first-party data, audience insights and content-led lead nurturing
Experience supporting sales teams with content-led propositions
Editorially confident and commercially astute
Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Collaborative, but able to take ownership and lead
Ambitious and motivated to grow with the role and the business
Creative mindset and a passion for storytelling
Native English speaker, with conversational German preferred
