Infrastructure Architecture & Cloud

Architecting the Bank\'s future on public Cloud infrastructure is a key enabler to ensure the bank can deliver on its key strategies and deliver better outcomes for its customers, shareholders, and employees.

The Cloud Infrastructure Architect\'s role in Infrastructure Architecture and Cloud will be responsible for delivering detailed designs, strategies, and architectures aligned with the Cloud Infrastructure Architecture Strategy. The ideal candidate will be an experienced all-rounder who has exposure to all our functional components including Compute, Storage, Networks, Database, and Security, and has worked in a large Corporate within one or more of these functional domains and has had responsibility for strategy, design, or architecture within those roles. We are looking for a dynamic, innovative individual who is passionate about introducing the next-generation Public Cloud Infrastructure capability into the bank and can deliver architectures that combine world-class technology solutions that balance commercial, risk, sustainability, and delivery considerations. Deep understanding of Public Cloud technologies, preferably Google Cloud Platform. The candidate should have experience in delivering and documenting Cloud Infrastructure architecture artifacts and Sufficient experience working within an Infrastructure function within a large enterprise. Preferably with a strong understanding of the data center construct.

Your key responsibilities

• Engage with our key stakeholders to understand their needs, including CTO Domain Architecture teams, Chief Security Office, and Group Architecture
• Create architecture descriptions (current-state/future-state architectures and architecture roadmaps) ensuring that architectures reflect stakeholder needs and the bank\'s strategy.
• Partner with peer architects to manage and evolve the Cloud infrastructure capability model.
• Participate in architecture reviews of CTO and CIO functions to ensure alignment with architecture directives and roadmaps.
• Gain and maintain an awareness and understanding of the strategies and delivery roadmaps of the CIO groups across the bank and foster relationships with relevant Domain Architects in the business lines.

• Data Services (Relational, NoSQL, Wide Column, Columnar, In memory Cache, Graph, Distributed Ledger, Data Governance, Business Intelligence, Analytics, AI/ML)
• Common Infrastructure Services (CI/CD, Development tools, Source control, Image Factory, Container/artefact registry, Logging, Infrastructure/application monitoring/alerting/profiling, Building Dashboards, IT Service Management, Asset management). Integration platforms (API Gateway, Service Catalogue, Service Discovery, Service Registry, Service Mesh, Pub/Sub, Message queuing, Scheduling, managed File transfer)
• Automation & Self Service (Design of Cloud Landing Zone and its orchestration, Business Process Automation, Site Reliability Engineering Practices)
