The focus is on software solutions and mobile technologies for transportation companies. Trapeze DACH is the partner in German-speaking Europe with more than 300 employees at 7 locations.
We are looking for a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who will also take on the responsibilities of the Chief Product Officer (CPO). In this role, the CTO will be supported by the Head of Product Management and Innovation and the Head of R&D. The CTO will be part of our senior leadership team and drive the strategic development of our technology landscape. This position reports to the CEO of Trapeze DACH.
Your Key responsibilities:Develop and execute a long-term technology roadmap and technical architecture in line with the company’s strategic objectives. Lead and evolve the different development teams, ensuring clear direction, alignment, and high performance. Establish and enforce best practices in software development, system architecture, development infrastructure and IT security. Manage the technology budget, ensuring smart resource allocation and cost-effective decision-making. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous technical improvement across the organization. Oversee the development of new products and services according to the agreed roadmaps, ensuring high standards and timely delivery. Ensure the scalability, security, and efficiency of all technology solutions and platforms. Stay ahead of tech trends and market developments to maintain the company’s technological edge and resilience. Manage relationships with technology vendors and partners, evaluating and selecting the most suitable solutions and services.

Job Profile:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering 5+ years of experience in a senior technology leadership role, preferably as CTO or Head of Engineering. Proven track record in building and leading high-performing development teams. Deep expertise in software development, system architecture, and cybersecurity best practices. Strong background in product development and the successful launch of tech-driven services. Strategic thinker with a hands-on mentality and the ability to align technology with business goals. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with experience of working across departments and with executive management (Fluent in German and English). Relevant certifications are a plus
