Staking Facilities has been pioneering blockchain infrastructure since 2017. We’re not chasing VC rounds or growth at all costs, instead, we’re building for the long run, sustainably, independently, and with a high calibre technical team at our core. Now, we’re looking for a CTO to guide and grow that team as we enter our next chapter.
Tasks
As CTO, you’ll sit at the intersection of executive strategy and tech execution. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team of infrastructure engineers, node operators, and developers while helping shape the future of blockchain architecture, both inside SF and in the broader ecosystem.
Own and continuously evolve our infrastructure and technology strategy in collaboration with the leadership team
Be the senior technical voice in our strategic decision-making circle
Guide roadmap priorities across infra, protocol integrations, and internal tooling
Deep dive into validator operations, incident response, performance optimization, and monitoring
Ensure high availability, high integrity infrastructure: this includes business continuity oversight
Represent SF in protocol communities, partner conversations, and the broader Web3 ecosystem
Act as a mentor to our leads and engineers, contributing architectural insights and technical guidance
Work across functions to support the emergence of our second business unit (a trading initiative leveraging our blockspace access)
Champion quality, ownership, and continuous learning within the tech team
Requirements
A technical leader with deep hands on blockchain infrastructure experience
You’re a creator with imagination, you’re able to spot opportunities for us to expand and diversify our services
You're comfortable owning architecture decisions, challenging assumptions, and navigating ambiguity
Able to deep dive when needed: from reading logs to debugging infrastructure issues or reviewing PRs
You have led cross-functional technical teams and are respected for your thought leadership
You communicate clearly and work collaboratively with a calm, no ego approach
Familiarity with ecosystems like Ethereum, Solana, Sui, or Cosmos is a big plus
Open to regular travel to Munich and representing SF in protocol communities and at conferences
You don't need to be the loudest voice in the room, but you’re not afraid to speak up when it matters
Bonus: You’ve got ideas brewing about how to creatively use access to blockspace
