Job Description
Providing excellent business processes as a service, the Operational Tax Team in Berlin and Düsseldorf is supporting its customers in operational tax matters. With Avaloq’s state-of-the-art banking software and smart reliable processes, the Tax Team aims to provide efficient value add services in a constantly changing tax environment. Your responsibilities will include monitoring, planning, and executing daily activities related to tax reportings in accordance with the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) agreed with clients.
Providing various German tax services, e.g., tax statements production, TaxBox and/or Church tax activities
Regulatory reporting to various regulatory or tax bodies in Germany
Supporting the team improving the functionalities of Avaloq’s core banking platform and the related processes to increase efficiency and reduce operational risks
Collaboration in projects to implement legal requirements and as part of the introduction of new technical functionalities
Test execution of regressions and extensions of the corresponding subject areas
Target-orientated communication with customers and internal interface partners
Qualifications
Degree in economics with a focus on taxes or training as a bank clerk or comparable training
Experience in the back office of a bank and in dealing with tax-related banking issues
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Analytical mindset and confident handling of MS Office
Resilience and the ability to work under pressure
Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced, and complex environment
Structured and careful way of working, paired with a quick grasp of the situation
Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
It would be a real bonus if you have:
Experience in cross-operational processes, e.g., Income, Securities or Corporate Actions
Practical user knowledge of the Avaloq core banking system
Know-how about process optimization methods
