Role Overview

Lead the technical validation and automotive domain expertise for our prototype focused on Mercedes components. Responsible for ensuring technical accuracy, component identification, and establishing credibility with automotive industry contacts.

Required Qualifications

Automotive Experience

10+ years in automotive engineering or automotive sustainability Understanding of automotive supply chain and manufacturing processes Experience with automotive lifecycle assessment (LCA) and carbon accounting Direct experience with Mercedes-Benz vehicles, German automotive OEMs and their key suppliers Knowledge of C-Class architecture, components, and suppliers
Technical Expertise

Mechanical or automotive engineering degree Knowledge of automotive materials (steel, aluminum, plastics, composites) Understanding of manufacturing processes (stamping, welding, injection molding) Familiarity with automotive electronics and hybrid systems Experience with automotive quality standards and regulations
Industry Knowledge

Network of contacts in automotive sustainability or engineering Understanding of automotive regulatory environment (CSRD, ESRS, EU regulations) Knowledge of automotive supplier ecosystem (Bosch, Continental, ZF, etc.) Experience with automotive OEM procurement and supplier management Familiarity with automotive ESG reporting requirements
Communication Skills

Ability to explain complex automotive concepts to non-technical audiences Experience presenting to automotive executives and engineers Strong written communication for technical documentation Comfortable in customer-facing and investor presentation roles
Preferred Qualifications

Former Mercedes-Benz engineer or supplier engineer Experience with automotive sustainability initiatives or carbon reduction programs Knowledge of automotive industry databases and information sources Experience with automotive consulting or business development Understanding of AI/ML applications in automotive industry
Success Metrics

Complete validation of 400+ C-Class component database Establish contact with 2+ Mercedes sustainability team members Facilitate 3+ meaningful customer interviews Achieve 95%+ technical accuracy in component specifications Support successful customer demonstrations without technical errors
