The Analyst / Associate Strategic Investments is a key member of BioNTech's global finance team. You will play an essential role in a high profile and business critical function that directly impacts BioNTech's mission. You will gain first-hand strategic and operational experience helping to build a leading global biotechnology company. You will work closely with BioNTech's leadership team to define and execute the company's strategic priorities.

Your responsibilities in detail:

Financial modelling, valuations and long-term financial planning Identify new growth opportunities, evaluate build/buy/partner opportunities and other special projects required to further develop our pipeline programmes Support in the negotiation and execution of strategic transactions (e.g. M&A, collaborations, licensing and equity investments) Contribute to the development of BioNTech's partnership and acquisition strategy and work closely with other team members to implement a comprehensive business development agenda Drive multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively with other functions (e.g. Business Development, Legal, Business Alliances, R&D, Commercial, Manufacturing) to develop each business case Develop business cases for various partnership / investment opportunities, including business-specific financial analysis (considering strategic, financial, legal and tax implications) Assist in prioritising the portfolio and aligning / planning resources accordingly Act as a strategic thinking partner to senior management and the Board in the development, refinement, formulation and execution of BioNTech's business and scientific strategy

What you have to offer:

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree from a leading academic institution At least 2 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, biopharma and/or comparable experience Strong quantitative background and analytical skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail Genuine interest in the biotech industry and understanding of its unique challenges and opportunities Team player with a strong motivation to contribute to a positive team culture Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of analytical tools and a track record of developing meaningful insights Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a demanding environment and handle time-sensitive projects in multiple phases
