We are looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) to join our AFC Governance & Strategy Team in Frankfurt.
Business Area

The Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) Governance & Strategy team plays a critical role in the organization’s efforts to combat financial crime and ensure compliance with regulatory expectations.

In this role you will gain hands-on experience in the field of anti-financial crime governance within an international banking environment, contributing to the team's efforts to safeguard the organization's integrity and reputation.
Position Description

In this role you will:

Support policy, procedure, and process alignment, where required, and work towards an aligned SMBC EU Group and EMEA AML/Fin Crime framework Support the preparation of the local annual (Group) AML/CTF/Sanctions and Criminal Offences Risk Assessment (Project-based) Implementation of the risk assessment conclusions into current policies, local standards and procedures liaising with Local MLRO, Office Heads, EMEA RCCO and other relevant stakeholders Assist with development and implementation of AFC Regulatory Horizon Scanning Assist with Internal and External Audits and monitor the processing of findings Administer (Committee) Meetings and report to the MLRO and Management in relation to AFC Findings to ensure effective oversight and decision-making

For you to succeed in the role, you require the following:

Advanced Student (Business Administration, Law, Economics, or similar) Solid MS Office Suite, VBA and SQL skills. Good spoken and written German and English Team player with an entrepreneurial and inquisitive mind-set and able to work independently Good problem-solving skills and the ability to address conflict and difficult issues in a professional, assertive, and proactive manner Competencies
