Description
The University of Rochester Department of History and the Program in Public-Health-Related Majors is seeking a candidate to teach HIST 373 - US Health Policy and Politics, in the Spring 2026 semester. This course is an upper-level seminar in US Health Care Policy intended for history majors and for health policy majors. The duties will include grading of course assignments and tests, as well as student office hours and advising in connection with the course.
The course also includes a co-located writing section (HIST 373W) for students—particularly health policy majors—who need to meet an upper-level writing requirement. Students in the writing section must complete at least 20 pages of writing over the course of the term, some of which must involve the revision of previously-submitted materials.
Qualifications
PhD or ABD in health policy or history of medicine or related fields. Experience teaching advanced undergraduates.
