Your mission

As a

Account Manager (Intern)

, your main responsibility will be to grow the profitability of the DACH market by identifying, sourcing, and closing successful deals. The position calls for both strong analytical abilities and confident interaction with clients. You will play an important role in supporting Vanilla Steel’s expansion and in building sustainable and profitable trading activities. The scope of your work will cover a wide range of tasks designed to fit Vanilla Steel’s dynamic business model.


You will be expected to:

Oversee and develop trading activity within the DACH (German-speaking) steel sector Drive transaction flow and brokerage business on Vanilla Steel’s behalf Closely monitor concluded trades, working with operations to guarantee smooth execution, shipping, and payment settlement Maintain and grow existing accounts - act as the contact point for German-speaking customers across both supply and demand sides Actively prospect and approach new leads, arranging introductions and meetings to broaden our network of buyers and sellers Support the operational side of the trading platform, including handling trade documentation and confirmations Review and evaluate workflows with the aim of boosting efficiency and enabling scale

Your profile

Motivated, entrepreneurial mindset Excellent analytical ability, clear problem-solving approach, and a proactive, practical way of working Strong planning and organizational skills Proven ability to build relationships, paired with outstanding spoken and written communication skills

Fluency in both English and German is a must
