This is what the position looks like:
As an account manager, you are responsible for building, maintaining, and expanding your business network in southern/western Germany. You focus mainly on b2b niche markets - approaching and visiting professionals - with the aim of activating new, loyal customers/partners. Here, 80% of the job is focused on activating new customers/partners and 20% on relationship management. This is mainly within the garden, installation, lighting, residential and water irrigation markets. You are in direct contact with professionals such as gardeners, garden designers, landscapers, electricians, and leading projects and advise and guide them in their projects. In addition, you are responsible for providing online and physical training to ensure the in-lite knowledge level among customers/partners. Your tasks also include achieving the set qualitative and quantitative sales budgets and initiating and organising network meetings.

Furthermore, you are physically present at monthly internal commercial meetings at the head office in Gorinchem, the Netherlands. And you identify and define market developments and translate them into usable strategies, commercial propositions, and a concrete plan of action. Why this is going to be your job:
  • The position is for 40 hours per week.
  • You will receive an attractive gross monthly salary of minimum \xe2\x82\xac4,500 and maximum \xe2\x82\xac5,500 (based on full-time employment and experience).
  • You will first receive a one-year contract, with the prospect of a permanent contract.
  • Supplemented by a nice pension scheme and an attractive bonus scheme.

  • A laptop, telephone, lease car and credit card are provided by us and are part of your terms of employment. Other business expenses will of course be reimbursed.

What do you bring to the table?
  • A completed degree in business administration, commercial economics, international business & management studies, sales and account management, or relevant work experience.
  • Experience and network within the gardening, installation, lighting, residential and/or water irrigation market is a plus.
  • Preferably at least three years\' working experience in account management with demonstrable results. Or if you are convinced that you have the right skills and mentality to take up this challenge, you are also welcome!
  • A good command of both German and English in word and writing.
  • You have entrepreneurial qualities with a strong personality and social skills. You are also commercial, creative and understand how to build distribution with an A-brand.
  • Experience with CRM systems (such as HubSpot or similar systems and tools) would be a plus.
  • You can work well in a team and have a high degree of flexibility and adaptability; you are open to feedback and proactive.
