Animationsinstitut at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg trains outstanding talents at the highest level in the fields of animation, visual effects, technical direction, animation/effects producing and interactive media. In addition, the institute runs a research & development department.



We are offering a



XR Lab Technical Support (m/f/d)



position within the research project “Reallabor Metaverse”, starting 01.01.2026 or later in full-time (39,5 hours per week), for a period of two years.



Your tasks



1. UX evaluation of existing tools and workflows

2. UX design and implementation on handheld, web and VR

3. Evaluation in practical application scenarios with industry partners from VFX, advertisement and architecture

4. General design, aesthetics and communication tasks (Logos, Flyer, Social Campaigns)



Your profile



1. Intrinsic motivation, interest and deep understanding of technology and its creative potential

2. Completed studies or working experience with several years of professional background in UX-design, implementation and evaluation

3. Good knowledge in game engine technology (Unity, Unreal, etc.)

4. Exceptional inter-personal skills, problem solving and development

5. Secure handling in digital communication tools and structures such as wiki, email, project management tools, etc.

6. Organizational talent, resilient, versatile and flexible, ability to work in a team

7. Good knowledge of English

8. Valid work permit within the European Union

9. You have a sense of social responsibility and are open and sensitive to sustainability, diversity and equal opportunities
