Your Role





Key responsibilities in your new role

Implementing DSP Algorithms

: Implement DSP algorithms (FFT, FIR, IIR, CFAR, CORDIC) in SystemC

High-Performance Implementation

: Use HLS tools to generate hardware implementations and refine results to optimize for different metrics

Architecture Comparison

: Compare HLS implementations against existing RTL architectures

Performance Analysis

: Analyze trade-offs in performance, area, and power consumption

Documentation and Optimization

: Document evaluation results and propose improvements


Your Profile





Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

Study field

: Currently enrolled in a STEM program, ideally in computer science or electrical engineering

Skills

: + Solid programming skills in C++ and/or MATLAB
+ Familiarity with RTL design and FPGA/ASIC implementation flows
+ Proficiency with SystemC and HLS tools for hardware design
+ Exposure to hardware description languages (VHDL, Verilog) is an advantage

Experience

: + Good understanding of digital signal processing concepts (FFT, FIR, IIR, CFAR, CORDIC)
+ Knowledge in signal processing algorithms and hardware optimization techniques

Working Style

: Methodical, structured, and proactive

Language skills

: fluent English; German is a plus

Important information:

Working part-time

: The focus is on studies. That’s why working as a student employee during lecture period is limited to a maximum of 20 hours per week.

Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome

: To work as a student employee with us, you must be enrolled at a university and not have completed all of your exams or modules for your degree programme. You must not be in a semester of leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our team for at least 6 months.

You should live close to the site

: For good collaboration, it is important to us that you can come to the office regularly to integrate to the team.
