Your job



You will join the Quality team to help monitor the department’s data quality by maintaining and enhancing validation scripts, and by defining and developing new quality measures together with our Quality Engineers and Quality Managers. You will support LLM-based analyses by preparing inputs and validating outputs, as well as conducting different quality assurance rounds. You will monitor data flows by generating summary statistics, detecting anomalies (e.g., missing values, column mismatches), documenting and presenting your findings in our team, as well as to stakeholders. In close collaboration with Quality Engineers, you will contribute to refactoring and maintenance by improving code readability, adding logging, and handling edge cases in existing Python scripts. You will support documentation efforts by writing or updating internal pages, READMEs, and guides that explain validation rules and data quality measures for our stakeholders.

Your skills



Ongoing studies in Economics, Data Science, or Data Engineering, or a comparable field. Fluent in English for verbal and written communication. Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel. You have good knowledge of Python (e.g., pandas, numpy) and SQL (basic queries, incl. SELECT, JOIN). Experience with prompt engineering, VS Code, Git, GitHub, AWS is a plus. You are attentive to details, enjoy the topic of data quality and can passionately spread the need for data quality across other teams. You are curious about new tech developments (including AI) and strive to adopt effective tools and approaches. You have strong problem-solving skills, take ownership, and can work independently as well as collaboratively. Available for 20 hours/week with flexible working hours; preferably based in Hamburg.
