THE ROLE AND THE TEAM

We are looking for a working student to support the Labour Relations team, which is part of the Strategic Employee Relations team of the People & Organization department of Zalando SE.


The Labour Relations team is responsible for the trust based and constructive relationship between the employees, the employee representative bodies and the management of Zalando. More specifically, our team supports and promotes the effective communication, collaboration, and mutual respect between the organisation and its Works Councils in Germany.


By joining our team, you will get many insights on the collaboration with employee representation bodies and learn a ton about codetermination (processes) with German Works Councils. You will gain unique experience working with Zalando’s SE Works Councils in an international environment and an engaged team.

Be the first point of contact for P&O Business Partners and project teams with regards to their questions on Works Councils’ involvement Support the team with keeping track of all ongoing projects and negotiations with the Works Councils Take over the preparation of presentations and other materials Be responsible for organizing meetings, creating agendas and taking minutes during internal meetings or meetings with Works Councils Drive a project with the Works Councils from beginning to end and hereby gain first experiences with co-determination and involvement of employee representation bodies

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

You are still enrolled as a student for at least one year and study law, economics, HR management or similar Ideally, you have already gained first experience in working in P&O or you are interested in developing your skills with regards to working with employee representatives bodies and Works Councils You have an independent and structured way of working and a willingness to take on responsibility and drive your own projects You have excellent communication skills and organizational talent You are

fluent

in both written and spoken

German and English
