We’re looking for a

Working Student – FP&A (GTM Finance)

to join our Finance Planning & Analysis team in Chemnitz, supporting our Go-to-Market (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success) finance activities across all global regions.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone studying, or who has studied, business, finance, economics, or a related field, to gain hands-on experience in a fast-growing SaaS company. You will work closely with two Senior FP&A Business Partners and the Finance Director for GTM, learning the core principles of FP&A while contributing to real-world projects.

We are a dynamic Financial Planning and Analysis team that enjoy solving the business challenges that come with rapid scaling. As we grow, our FP&A team is at the centre of driving smart, scalable decisions that shape Staffbase’s future.

Our role is to inform and influence some of Staffbase’s most important business decisions by:
Providing data driven insight and connection across functions, segmenting by time (quarter, year, multi-year), and among varying levels of data (Top down financial metrics to detailed operational plans)
Linking that context directly to our business strategy and objectives
Objectively assessing the impact of the decision on the business and identifying risks/opportunities.

What you’ll be doing

Support monthly operational and financial reporting tasks, including month-end performance reporting and budget vs. actuals analysis
Help maintain our financial planning system (Workday Adaptive Planning), ensuring it reflects the latest business updates
Assist in building and improving financial models to support forecasting and budgeting cycles
Prepare data and reports for GTM and Finance leadership, helping drive insights for decision-making
Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple regions to ensure timely and accurate financial information
Learn best practices in financial analysis, planning processes, and SaaS business metrics

What you need to be successful

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme, ideally in business, finance, economics, or a related field
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with an interest in data-driven decision-making
Comfortable working with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) and willing to learn financial systems
A proactive approach with curiosity to learn and contribute
Excellent communication skills in English
