Aufgaben
As part of the Safety and Security department of Mercedes-Benz AG, Research & Development, the core tasks of the Standard Security Technologies team are to provide security against cyber-attacks. In a cross-sectional function, the team is responsible for the design, implementation and safeguarding of central mechanisms for protecting vehicle architectures against external attacks.

Depending on your skills, your possible tasks may include one or more of the following:
Setting up a test environment for onboard car IT security software
Implementing and optimizing continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated security testing
Review of test specifications and ensuring full test coverage
Validation of security test SW vs. test specification
Development of test software/application and framework in C#, C++, CAPL, Python
Documentation of test plans, technical specifications, and test results adhering to quality standards
Proficient handling of Jira Tickets for task and issue tracking
Resolution of bug fixes to enhance software stability
Display of enthusiasm and adaptability towards acquiring new knowledge and skills
Working student activity can begin in December 2025.
QualifikationenPursuing studies in the field of computer science or comparable
Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
Extensive knowledge of SW development and experience with SW engineering processes
Knowledge and experience with agile software processes as well as automated software development (CI/CD)
Very good programming skills and hands on experience in C#, C++,Python, CAPL or other relevant programming/scripting languages
Solid knowledge and experience on Adaptive AUTOSAR stack
Basic understanding of embedded systems and automotive electronics, especially vehicle networking (Ethernet, CAN, Flexray, LIN) and automotive standards (AUTOSAR, UDS, etc.) including state-of-the-art development tools (CANoe, DaVinci, etc.) is advantageous.
Experience with Linux-based development environments and Version Control Systems such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, or BitBucket.
Analytical, strategic and innovative thinking skills
Ability to work in a team, problem-solving skills and cooperation in an international working environment
