Purpose of the Role

Ensuring the smooth running of the Warehouse.

Role and Responsibilities

Coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping chemical products Oversee the proper handling and storage of hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations and company policies Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure compliance with safety standards and proper storage practices Train and mentor warehouse staff on safe handling procedures for chemicals and hazardous materials Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper labelling and documentation of chemical products Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and quality control, to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment of orders Troubleshoot any issues related to warehouse operations, including equipment malfunctions or inventory discrepancies Implement and enforce safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and emergency response procedures Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline warehouse processes and optimize efficiency Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience in a senior warehouse role, preferably in a chemical or industrial environment Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities German B2 level and above Commitment to upholding safety standards and promoting a culture of safety in the workplace Experience with using IT programs, such as Microsoft Word & Excel Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Basic Outlook and SAP skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Experience with stock control systems Previous experience working in a chemical warehouse environment would be preferred A forklift truck license would be an advantage but not essential
