Die Albtal-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft (AVG) befördert mit ihren Stadtbahnen jährlich rund 46 Millionen Fahrgäste. Das Unternehmen verfügt über ein Stadtbahnnetz von mehr als 540 Kilometern und betreibt 288 Kilometer eigene Strecke, womit es zu den größten Eisenbahnunternehmen in Baden-Württemberg zählt. Ein zentrales Element ist das „Karlsruher Modell“, ein innovatives TramTrain-System, das innerstädtische Straßenbahnen und regionale Eisenbahnstrecken miteinander verbindet und so eine flexible Mobilität in der gesamten Region ermöglicht.


Die 1957 gegründete AVG ist ein kommunales Verkehrsunternehmen und beschäftigt rund 1.000 Mitarbeiter*innen. Neben dem Betrieb und der Instandhaltung der Bahnen und Strecken übernimmt die AVG auch Aufgaben im Bereich Planung, Infrastruktur und Kundenservice. Durch enge Kooperation mit der Verkehrsbetriebe Karlsruhe (VBK) und dem Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund (KVV) trägt die AVG maßgeblich zur Mobilität am Oberrhein bei.

Locomotive driver's license Class B vehicle driver's license No entries in the FAER (driving aptitude register) or in the certificate of good conduct Flexibility and willingness to work irregular shifts with night, weekend and public holiday work Health suitability in accordance with the Train Driver's License Ordinance, suitability for shift work Examination certificates according to TFV Affinity with the “Karlsruhe model” tram-train system
