Duties

Responsible for planning, directing and implementing a theatre / special events program (e.g., concert series). Develops operating procedures. Conducts needs assessments. Identifies deficiencies and initiates corrective action. Provides technical and administrative guidance to support personnel. Effectively manages resources.

Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation with childcare checks. This position may require a health screening. Immunizations may be required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility. Incumbent must possess a passport.

Qualifications

Work experience that demonstrated the ability to produce, stage, or direct theatrical performances or events such as pageants, play festivals, or musicals. Instruct in or serve as a specialist in one or more of the theater arts such as: (1) direction, (2) technical production such as lighting design and execution, scenic and costume design and construction, and makeup, (3) dance production such as choreography, dance drama, and ritual healer, (4) performance techniques such as acting, dancing, and dramatic pantomime, (5) playwriting, (6) play or music theater production, or (7) theater administration, management, or promotion.

Best Qualified Criteria

1. A bachelor's or higher level degree in theatre, technical theatre, or arts administration.

2. Minimum of 5 years experience in performing arts management, including but not limited to: season selection and planning, marketing, box office administration and sales, volunteer management, policy and procedure development and enforcement, special events planning, and producing live performance events.

3. Minimum of 3 years experience directing theatrical productions.

4. Experience in technical theatre such as set design and construction, costume design and construction, stage lighting design and operation, and sound design and operation.

PCS Costs

Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials

Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.

If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay.Sunday premium may be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Night differential may be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.

Allowances, differentials, or incentives will not be paid. LQA will NOT be paid. Post allowance may be paid in accordance with the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR), contingent upon eligibility.
