YOUR TASKS

We are looking for a Technical Consultant with experience in Tunnel Projects to support several large-scale tunnel-based 380kV cable projects in Berlin, in collaboration with our project partner — a major German grid operator responsible for the transmission network in northern and eastern Germany.



Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

General

Consulting on organizational decisions regarding project management Identification of potential technical, organizational, or logistical challenges and development of a strategies Consulting on performance and investigation requirements Technical support and training of specialist and sub-project managers with regard to upcoming holistic tasks such as planning, approval, and construction of cable tunnels

Site investigations

Review of quality assurance programs Monitoring compliance with quality standards Review of MKA, BEH, BDA Consulting on implementation problems and on the management of contractors planning Requirements planning (identification of framework conditions, technical and organizational requirements) Consulting on feasibility from a technical and logistical perspective Review of logistics concepts for all three projects Selective comparison of planning results and concepts for all three projects, identification and evaluation of differences Selective review of operating and utilization concepts

Tendering/award

Determining the tendering strategy (service packages and timing) Review of tender documents, consulting on awarding contracts

REQUIREMENTS & YOUR EXPERTISE

Degree in civil engineering (Dipl. Ing. (FH), Master's) or comparable qualifications Experience in the technical supervision and project management (planning, tendering and awarding contracts, contract and addendum management, approval and construction) Professional experience in project or construction management of complex largescale projects Basic understanding of route planning and design, structural engineering, and ground investigations Knowledge of the scope of construction activities in special civil engineering, necessary planning, expert reports, and investigations Experience in the technical management of employees and service providers Fluent in German and English Ability to work collaboratively in a team and support cross-functional departments. Willingness to travel domestically – this is a remote role but flexibility to travel to Berlin for meetings are required Successful candidate must have eligibility to work in the EU, along with the outlined qualifications
