We are looking for you to join our office in the heart of Berlin (with flexibility for remote work). For us, all people are equal! Nationality, gender, age, religion, or skin colour don't matter to us.

Your role at

KURABU

:

Take ownership of the whole development cycle — from architecture design to implementation and testing, as well as maintaining existing code. Provide leadership within the development team, acting as the glue between tech, Collaborate effectively with the team for building new features and supporting them in daily work. Ensure scalable architecture and structure to prepare for rapid growth. Create maintainable, testable, and readable code/data solutions in small and safe iterations. Balance hands-on coding with architectural and infrastructure responsibilities. Work with common third-party APIs and create APIs of our own. Ensure high quality standards in all deliverables. Communicate proactively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Who are we looking for:

A senior engineer with aspirations and proven ability to lead, not just code. Strong experience in backend and system architecture, with knowledge of infrastructure and scalability challenges. Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and databases (must-have). Experience implementing DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, and alerting. Some experience in Elixir is beneficial, but transferable skills (e.g. Erlang, Ruby/Rails) are very welcome. Solid knowledge of front-end technologies (React) is a plus. Proven experience with AWS and cloud/infrastructure topics (EC2, RDS, S3, Terraform, Docker) Experience with building and scaling digital products in a high-growth environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to connect product and business needs with technical solutions.
