at our headquarters in Idstein as a

Team Lead GL Accounting

(f/m/d)

as soon as possible.

Your role in the Wolfpack:

Lead the GL Accounting team with full disciplinary and functional responsibility for general ledger activities. Ensure accurate and compliant bookkeeping in accordance with IFRS, internal company policies and local GAAP (HGB) Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including reconciliation and evaluation of balance sheet and P&L accounts. Coordinate and review posting activities across general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Ensure correct accruals, deferrals, and provisions for all relevant transactions. Manage and reconcile intercompany accounts and related settlements. Prepare and maintain accounting memos to support accounting treatments, technical conclusions and ensuring proper documentation for audits, internal controls and compliance with IFRS and local GAAP. Oversee and control payment transactions in close collaboration with the Retail Accounting and Treasury teams. Prepare and review financial reports and analyses for management and external auditors. Act as the key contact for auditors during financial statement audits. Conduct employee performance reviews and support professional development within the team. Drive process improvement, automation, and digitalization initiatives in the accounting area.

What you bring:

Completed commercial education (e.g., Industrial Clerk, Wholesale and Foreign Trade Clerk) or a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting. Minimum 5 years of professional experience in accounting or finance, ideally in general ledger or group accounting. Proven leadership experience in a similar environment. Strong knowledge of accounting systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook. Experience with banking systems, ideally Multicash. Good command of English for daily business communication. High level of service orientation, reliability, and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of responsibility and accuracy
