We are looking for a highly motived, passionated and ambitious Tax Manager (d/f/m) with significant drive to enjoy a fast-paced international working environment. We need problem solvers, initiative takers and people who see opportunities and potential to improve. You\'ll be playing a key role in our Tax Team and taking Personio to the next level, actively contributing to the development of Personio\'s inhouse tax function and accompanying us on our continued growth path.

In this role you will report directly to and work closely with the Senior Tax Lead.

Key Ownerships

• Be an integral part of Personio\'s tax and accounting functions, focusing on the management of German and international taxes.
• Manage and review annual corporate income tax returns, trade tax returns and VAT returns of the German and the foreign entities as well as permanent establishments. Research and advise on tax issues related to acquisitions, restructurings or other business initiatives.
• Manage tax audits and relationships with external tax advisors and auditors.
• Support with tax reporting performed on an annual basis and the annual closing requirements under IFRS and local GAAP (HGB).
• Familiarity with current and deferred income tax, accounting and tax compliance.
• Implement and maintain policies and procedures related to tax and governing the tax function and ensure their effective implementation (Tax Guidelines and Tax CMS), i.e. implementing appropriate control frameworks and policies.
• Liaise closely with Transfer Pricing and Payroll colleagues, as well as the Finance and Legal teams.

What you need to succeed

Technical Skills

• Bachelor\'s /Master\'s degree in accounting/finance or another business-related field.
• Qualified German Tax Advisor (Steuerberater).
• 3-5 years of experience in a big4 accounting practice and / or corporate tax department.
• Languages: written and verbal fluency in English and German.
• Strong analytical skills.

Soft Skills

• Hands-on and problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong interpersonal skills; ability to build a good partnership with all stakeholders involved in the processes.
• Excellent communication skills: experience in working across multiple levels, regions and cross-functional teams.
