About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on

Tactical Buyer (f/m/d)

to strengthen our Procurement team

in Berlin

. In this role, you'll secure the right materials at the right time and cost to keep our modular building projects moving—working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Project teams as well as a diverse supplier base across Europe.

Your Responsibilities

Procurement & Tactical Buying:

Manage the tactical sourcing and ordering of construction materials, including

raw materials

(e.g., steel, wood),

construction materials

(e.g., electronic parts, windows), and

sub-assemblies

.

Project-related purchasing:

Identify suitable vendors, run assessments and due diligence, lead contract and price negotiations, and prepare supplier qualifications to meet project timelines and standards.

Operational excellence:

Create and manage purchase orders, track confirmations, and ensure on-time delivery; proactively resolve shortages, delays, and quality topics with internal and external stakeholders.

Stakeholder collaboration:

Align cross-functionally with Planning, Logistics, Engineering, and Quality; cultivate strong partnerships with suppliers to drive availability, cost, and reliability.

Data & process discipline:

Maintain clean master data and purchasing documents, monitor KPIs (delivery reliability, lead times, cost savings), and support continuous improvement of procurement processes.

Who you are

Completed commercial training or a degree in

Finance, Industrial Engineering

or

Supply Chain Management/

Purchasing.

At least 5 years

of professional experience in purchasing—ideally in

high-volume manufacturing

,

large-scale construction

, or the

shipyard

industry. Demonstrated

negotiation strength

and vendor management skills. Solid

legal understanding

related to purchasing processes (contracts, T&Cs, compliance).

Proven project experience

(mandatory), comfortable working to milestones and deadlines. Proficient with

MS Office

; strong overall digital skills.

SAP S/4HANA

experience (

1–2+ years

) across material master, purchase orders, and contracts.

Very good English

(minimum

B1

) and

professional fluency in German

(minimum

C1

). Team-oriented communicator with an

independent, structured

way of working.

Willingness to travel

across Europe for supplier visits and project needs.
