As a Systems/Project Engineer (m/f/d), you will be responsible for developing systems for tactical and logistical vehicles. You will work in interdisciplinary project teams together with experts from various fields across all project and product development phases to develop the system.
The focus will be on the integration of optical and optronic systems.
Performing requirements engineering by identifying, documenting, verifying, and managing requirements from standards, laws, specifications, and internal processes
Continuously coordinating all system interfaces to ensure functional and spatial integration into the overall “military vehicle” system
Assumption of responsibility for the quality, costs, and deadlines for the system
Creation and regular review of all work products (development documents, construction documents, models) in accordance with systems engineering, project, and internal standards
Planning, specification, support, and acceptance of development and services from external partners within the scope of work packages and subprojects
Cross-interface cooperation with adjacent departments during procurement, production, commissioning, and verification and validation phases
Support for configuration, change, risk, and project controlling processes, as well as collaboration on quantity structures and development planning in coordination with development planning
Close collaboration with the overall vehicle manager with regard to planning, control, and reporting
Central contact function for cross-departmental system issues
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
Completed (technical) university degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, vehicle construction, aerospace, or comparable
Several years of professional experience as a systems engineer/technical project manager in the development of technical systems
Experience in project management and systems engineering (IPMA Level D project management qualification, Systems Engineering Level C, and/or IREB Foundation Level desirable)
Confident use of PDM systems (Teamcenter)
Experience in working with interdisciplinary development teams and in managing and leading external companies
Very good written and spoken German and good written and spoken English
Familiarity with structured development processes in a corporate environment
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work, as well as ability to work in a team
Ability to work accurately and without errors, even under time pressure
Willingness to travel occasionally
