To further strengthen our Telecommunications Solutions business, Nexburg (formerly Utimaco TS) is hiring a dedicated System Engineer (m/f/x) with a focus on Linux in Aachen, starting from January 1st or later, to help us develop our infrastructure in a modern, stable, and scalable way.

Your tasks

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:



Administration, operation, and optimization of Linux-based system landscapes Management and expansion of our Kubernetes environments Administration and development of our virtualization platform based on Proxmox Configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of network components (switches and firewalls) Development of scripting and automation solutions (e.g., Ansible) Implementation and maintenance of our monitoring solution based on Checkmk Analysis of system issues and performance tuning

YOUR PROFILE:



Excellent knowledge of Linux system administration Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications Hands-on experience with Proxmox or similar virtualization platforms Solid understanding of networking, especially switching and firewalls Proficient scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) and experience with Ansible Familiarity with Checkmk or similar monitoring solutions Knowledge of Windows infrastructures is a plus and complements your profile Structured, solution-oriented working style and strong team spirit Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken
