Department Overview

The position is within the International SI System Engineering organization located in Germany. The Systems Engineering role will form part of multi-disciplined project teams to design and deliver complex mission critical voice + data communication and video security system projects. This responsibility includes all project phases from pre-sale handover, design, factory staging and acceptance, field integration, customer acceptance, to service handover.

You will work in all post sales phases of projects and may support multiple projects in parallel depending on size and complexity.

Understand customers’ operations and the environment in which our systems will be integrated. Propose, plan, review, implement, and/or verify technical solutions within customer projects Requirement Based Engineering (RBE) setup: structure, analyze and load all contract baseline requirements into a database to generate acceptance test plans, track all changes over the project implementation period Support the project manager in estimating, planning and coordinating project activities Work with the customer, product group, and external suppliers to ensure solutions meet customer and quality requirements Manage design reviews and create and manage project-specific documentation Undertake presentations of technical solutions and services to customers, project teams and management. Create and review equipment lists for entry by order management Provide technical support and advice to customers Advise the project manager and team on relevant technical matters Acquire detailed technical knowledge of new products and solution Propose and support process and tool improvements

Basic Requirements

University or equivalent degree in in telecommunication-, electronic-, electrical,- or IT / computing engineering or equivalent education. Experience in radio communications engineering, IT computing technologies and/or video systems Fluent in German and English, other European languages are a plus 3+ years professional experience, with at least 2 years experience in project environment in the telecommunications sector or a related field Experience working with public safety government customers and/or public transport- or energy provider companies. Experience with Requirement Based Engineering (RBE) and related project setup. Ability to grasp, implement, and present complex technical topics internally and to customers or suppliers Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within the project team Flexible, self-motivated, self-organizing approach to project tasks Ability and willingness to travel (10-25%), valid driving license. Willingness to obtain relevant customer Security Clearance to work for Government projects.
