Your tasks and responsibilities
As the Supply Teache
r
you will be asked to cover in classes in secondary school for colleagues who are absent from school. Sometimes these will be planned absences for example when teachers attend professional development courses and sometimes they will be last minute when a teacher is sick.
Create a safe and stimulating learning environment in which the students can discover and develop their intellectual, physical, social and creative potential
Keep a well-managed and safe arts classroom
Provide authentic, formative feedback through which your students can improve their skills, knowledge and understanding plus develop their higher order thinking
Contribute to the work of the Secondary School as a whole
Be part of the Secondary School initiative to develop teaching and learning in all subjects and classrooms
Engage in the life of the International School in this exciting city
Your profile
A University degree in Education or comparable
High competency in written and spoken English
Effective verbal and written communication skills as well as the use of IT and new technologies
Experience of working in an internationally-minded and diverse school community is preferred
