The Professorship of Landscape, Water, and Material Balance (Prof. Dr. Breuer), Department of Landscape Ecology and Resources Management at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Ecotrophology, and Environmental Management; together with TU Dresden and KIT Garmisch Partenkirchen, has up to four vacancies available from 15.03.2026 until 15.03.2027 for


Student assistant (m/f/d)


to be filled with up to 43 hours/month each.


Your tasks


Measure soil greenhouse gas (GHG) fluxes at the landscape scale using cutting-edge technique
Occasionally collect soil samples for laboratory analysis
Support data organization and assist in retrieving data from oxygen sensors
Assist in the maintenance and preparation of field equipment

Requirements


Interest in field-based environmental or soil research
Driver’s license (Class B)
Team spirit (you will be working in a team of two), reliability, and accuracy in scientific work
