Your responsibilities





Sysmex R&D Center Europe GmbH (Hamburg, Germany) is looking for a Strategy & Planning Specialist (f/m/x) to support the development and execution of strategic initiatives in alignment with Sysmex Corporation (Japan). This role involves analyzing clinical and business trends in Europe, identifying opportunities for growth, and supporting decision-making processes. As a key link between senior management and the operational team, the Strategic Planner will ensure efficient workflow and impactful contributions to strategic projects.Your key responsibilities include:



Strategic Alignment & Execution:

Supporting the Head of Strategy & Planning in aligning R&D strategies with Sysmex Corporation and driving execution within the organization

Market & Business Analysis:

Investigating clinical and business environments in Europe to identify trends, opportunities, and risks for R&D and business development

Project Management:

Leading and coordinating strategic projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and deliverables

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Working with R&D, commercial, and regulatory teams to implement strategic initiatives effectively

Stakeholder Engagement:

Developing key partnerships and R&D opportunities by maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including driving clinical research initiatives

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

Tracking and evaluating the impact of strategic initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to senior management

Process Improvement:

Identifying and implementing best practices to enhance strategic planning and execution processes

Your profile





You are a great match for this role if you bring a strategic mindset, international project experience, and a solid understanding of the European healthcare and diagnostics landscape. Ideally, you bring the following qualifications and strengths:



Master’s degree in science, healthcare, business, or a related field 3+ years of experience in strategic planning, business development, or project management, preferably in the healthcare or diagnostics sector Experience in international and interdisciplinary project managemen Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to strategic planning Business-oriented mindset with the ability to see the big picture and drive actionable insights Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills Ability to work autonomously while effectively managing a small team Strong knowledge of the European healthcare and diagnostics market is an advantage

Preffered qualifications:


Experience in R&D strategy and planning specifically within the diagnostics or healthcare industry Knowledge of global healthcare regulations and experience working in regulated environments (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485) Proven success in business development or driving partnerships in an international context Familiarity with financial forecasting and budgeting for strategic initiatives Strong familiarity with market research and data analytics tools to evaluate industry trends Knowledge of business and technology in the immunology field Familiarity with technical and clinical data for effective communication with various stakeholders Multilingual skills especially including Japanese and international exposure to healthcare markets Proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members and build high-performing teams
