About the role

This position is for an experienced Strategic Procurement Buyer with strong commercial and analytical expertise, complemented by well-developed stakeholder management and decision-making skills. The role executes procurement processes, standards, and operational plans to support organizational goals, including RFP development, supplier negotiations, cost accountability and program execution.

Responsibilities

Executes processes, standards, and operational plans in support of Procurement goals, including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and / or program execution. Approves and qualifies vendors to fulfill account needs. Responds to client issues or problems. Authorizes purchase orders and approves payments to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly. Analyzes and reviews price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices. Prepares and reviews request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages. Analyzes and monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Requirements

Advanced knowledge typically obtained through a University degree combined with relevant professional experience. Practical to substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, procurement programs, systems, or processes, with the ability to enhance and leverage them in daily work. University degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of

3 years of prior relevant procurement or supply chain experience

. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external suppliers. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced procurement environment.
