About this role

We are looking for a

Staff Infrastructure Engineer (f/m/x)

to become a driving force in shaping our infrastructure and influencing company-wide engineering outcomes. This is a

high-impact position

where you will strategically design, implement, and optimize our

cloud infrastructure on AWS

to ensure scalability, security, and reliability.


In this role, you will act as a

recognized authority in infrastructure

. You will mentor senior engineers, lead organization-wide initiatives, and provide

strategic direction

to elevate our infrastructure capabilities. You will also collaborate closely with engineering teams, principal engineers, and stakeholders to ensure our platform empowers them to build and deploy innovative products efficiently and securely.

What you will do

Strategically

design, build, and maintain

highly scalable and resilient infrastructure on

AWS

. Lead the development and implementation of

Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)

using

Terraform

. Architect and implement

serverless solutions

with AWS Lambda and related technologies. Take ownership of

monitoring and observability strategy

using tools like Wiz and Sentry. Collaborate with engineering teams, principal engineers, and technology stakeholders to deliver secure and cutting-edge infrastructure solutions. Drive initiatives to improve

infrastructure security posture

, implementing best practices and ensuring compliance. Identify and solve complex

organizational infrastructure challenges

, providing strategic direction and influencing company-level technical decisions. Mentor senior infrastructure engineers and contribute to the overall expertise of the team. Evaluate and introduce

new infrastructure technologies

and methodologies. Define and enforce infrastructure

standards and best practices

across the engineering organization. Support your engineering manager in

upleveling the team

through coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities. Continuously improve our ways of working, processes, and tools within the infrastructure team.

What you will need

----------------------

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

10+ years of experience

in Infrastructure, Cloud, DevOps, or related fields with significant experience in

AWS

. Deep expertise in

Infrastructure-as-Code

principles and extensive experience with

Terraform

. Strong understanding of

serverless architectures

and AWS Lambda. Proven ability to design and implement

monitoring and observability solutions

using Wiz, Sentry, or similar. Expert-level knowledge of

AWS services

and best practices for security, scalability, and reliability. Strong proficiency in at least one scripting language such as

Python or Bash

. Proven ability to define and implement

deployment strategies

including blue/green and canary deployments. Excellent

problem-solving and analytical skills

with the ability to tackle complex infrastructure challenges. Prior experience

mentoring engineers

in a staff or principal-level capacity. Exceptional

communication and collaboration skills

, fluency in English required. Experience working in a

start-up or scale-up environment

, comfortable with fast-paced and evolving needs. A passion for building reliable and efficient infrastructure that empowers engineering teams.
