We are seeking a skilled Software Tester (f/m/d) to join the "Customer Engagement" chapter of our excellence hub, as we strive to enhance the quality of the software products we develop. Specifically, you will be working on our GEA ID platform, which includes a unified customer portal, eCommerce applications, and a range of digital apps.

The GEA Digital Hub D\xc3\xbcsseldorf is dedicated to digitalizing GEA\'s customer interface, creating new digital products and services, and establishing innovative business models. Working collaboratively with digital units across all divisions, the Hub offers GEA-wide platforms, services, and methods to support these efforts. Your responsibilities
  • Resign and develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct manual and automated testing of software applications to ensure quality and compliance with standards
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to validate software functionality and performance.
  • Document and report test results, defects, and issues, and work with developers to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize testing requirements and ensure timely delivery of quality software.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and tools to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality assurance.
Your profile and qualifications

Degree in (business) computer science or related field with a focus on information technology

Strong knowledge of software QA and testing methodologies, tools and processes, including standard test procedures according to ISTQB

Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing using at least one automation framework and test management tool

Good knowledge of cloud technologies and CI/CD, including one of the following (Azure DevOps, Gitlab CI)

Solid understanding of Microservices-based software architecture & design patterns

Experience with performance testing tools and with Atlassian tool ((JIRA/Confluence, and bonus Xray)

Good knowledge of English and German

At least 2 years of working experience in Germany.
