Join us and shape the future of our Software Development for Devices in Neurosurgery and Ophthalmic Systems connected to our newly created Health Data Platform and Ecosystem. As a Software Developer you are responsible for the conception and implementation of software modules. The components are part of our Device Framework, which are integrated by the ZEISS Meditec device applications. You will work in close contact with different teams within and outside of the Device Framework team, such as Systems Engineering, project Software Application, and Quality Management.

This will be your core areas of responsibility:

Creation of software specifications based on the requirements by product management

Conception and implementation of framework software modules and their internal structure and logic. Usage of available software tools and libraries

Development of the software components in quality and quantity with regard to the valid development guidelines and compatibility to other software development teams

Self-initiated communication with the responsible persons of validation, architecture and project lead, as well as with external assignments in all phases of the development project

Responsibility for the creation of automated and manual tests for the developed components

Creation and maintenance of the software documentation

Responsibility for one or more software modules, plus advanced knowledge of all other components of the framework

Studies in Information Technology, Computer Science, or similar area of knowledge

Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, framework experience is a plus

Excellent track record of continuous professional development with focus on software delivery

Very good technical understanding of software development process

Sound experience in C++, expertise in CMake and Conan is a plus

Expertise in embedded systems, focus on LINUX Routine in dealing with git and experience with code reviews are considered an advantage

Solution oriented person able to handle change and bridging the gap between status quo and future setup

Excellent communication and moderation skills in English, German at least B1 Level

Willingness to invest in continuous learning and personal development of oneself and the team members\n \n \n \n \n \n
