Job Posting: Social Media Manager – Full-time

The Embassy of the State of Israel in Berlin is looking for a highly creative and dynamic Social Media Manager to join the Public Relations Department.

This is not just a job—it’s a mission! We need someone who knows that social media never sleeps. You should be passionate about digital communication, have a deep understanding of German social media platforms, and know how to spot trends before they happen. Your writing should be sharp, engaging, and adaptable to different tones, whether it’s a formal statement or a viral moment.

Your Responsibilities:

Content Creation: Develop and manage high-impact content across the Embassy’s social media channels (X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and more).

Real-Time Engagement: Spot trends and seize opportunities for engagement, ensuring the Embassy’s voice stays relevant in ongoing discussions.

Editorial & Writing: posts, speeches, newsletters, and captions.

Graphic & Video: editing eye-catching visuals, short-form videos for digital platforms.

Community Management: Build and maintain relationships with influencers & the digital community.

Strategic Growth: Develop and execute data-driven social media strategies to increase engagement and digital reach.

Your Profile:

Proven experience in professional social media management, ideally in politics/government/public sector.

A completed university degree in a relevant field (communications, media, political science, etc.).

Outstanding writing and communication skills in German (native level or equivalent) and fluent English (Hebrew is an advantage).

Strong creative skills in content creation, including video editing, graphic design, and digital storytelling.

Self-motivation and flexibility—this job requires quick thinking and adaptability, and working often outside of regular office hours.

Experience in social media analytics and performance tracking.
