Tandem

is looking for an experienced and autonomous

Senior Web Engineer

to take full ownership of our website and web application. You’ll be the technical lead for our web presence, working independently to build new features, optimize performance, and shape our frontend architecture.

Your role will be to:

Own the frontend development of our entire web stack — both the

marketing site (

http://tandem.net

)

and

real-time web app (

http://app.tandem.net

)

Build and maintain features for our

real-time chat application

Implement

technical SEO and GEO

and

accessibility best practices

(WCAG 2.1) Manage and evolve our

web component library

, ensuring consistency across the UI Collaborate closely with

product and marketing

on features and rapid experimentation Report directly to the

CTO

and operate with a high degree of autonomy

You are the right fit for the role if you:

3+ years of

professional JavaScript experience

(both frontend and backend) Deep experience with

Next.js

in production environments Strong command of

TypeScript

Solid understanding of

real-time web technologies

(e.g., WebSockets, MQTT) A

self-driven mindset

and passion for

ownership and delivery

What would make your application stand out:

Familiarity with

Google Analytics

and

Tag Manager

Experience with

headless CMS

platforms (e.g., Contentful) Knowledge of
