Your Role

You independently assess and underwrite complex biometric risks, with a strong focus on medical and financial risks as well as special risks (occupation, sport, travel). You build and maintain strong client relationships and work closely with international offices and subsidiaries. Contributing your expertise to strategic initiatives, you actively drive innovative topics such as AI in close collaboration with our Market Units and Research & Development team. You take ownership of quality, conduct audits, test system updates and provide feedback on underwriting processes. Sharing your expertise through presentations, workshops and training sessions, you strengthen underwriting capabilities across the business.

Your Profile

You bring solid professional experience: at least 5 years in underwriting, ideally including experience in reinsurance. You have the right background: a university degree in a relevant field such as insurance, finance, business, health or medicine, or alternatively a completed professional qualification in insurance. Languages are your strength: you communicate confidently in German and/or English. Additional languages (e.g. Dutch, French or Italian) are a plus. If you do not yet speak German, we expect a willingness to learn the language. You are analytical and digitally savvy, confident in working with MS Office and with a strong attention to detail. Flexibility comes naturally to you: occasional domestic and international travel is not an issue for you.
