Senior

Python Engineer (f/m/x)

to join our team in Dresden (full-time).
You will be part of our Application Team, the vital link bridging our internal feature development and client delivery. Your daily work will be diverse: from deploying microservices and orchestrating pipelines, to training ML models using our internal frameworks, and communicating directly with customers to solve their technical challenges.

Your Role

You bring our AI to life:

You utilize our internal ML frameworks to train, benchmark, and tune models specifically for our utility customers.

You build robust backend services:

You design and implement scalable microservices to integrate our features into customer environments.

You detect and resolve production issues:

You act as the primary troubleshooter for live systems, digging into logs and complex service interactions to identify root causes and implement fixes to minimize downtime.

You ensure operational excellence:

You take ownership of the stability and maintenance of our

CI/CD

pipelines and infrastructure, ensuring smooth updates and reliable operations.

You orchestrate complex data flows:

You manage and optimize data ingestion and processing pipelines.

You bridge the gap:

You collaborate directly with customers to understand their technical requirements, manage data onboarding, and translate their needs into working solutions.

You drive quality:

You establish and monitor appropriate quality measurements and benchmarks for the deployed models and services.


Your Skills

You have solid experience in

Python

development and a track record of building efficient, scalable code. You are experienced with

CI/CD

and automation tools. You understand the importance of efficient build/deploy pipelines (e.g.,

Jenkins

) and have experience maintaining them in a

Scrum

environment. You prioritize code quality and

testing

. You are used to writing automated tests and ensuring software reliability as part of your development workflow. You possess strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving technical issues independently. You have experience building backend services and working with data, including experience with

FastAPI

and

MongoDB

. You are comfortable working in a

Linux

environment and have practical experience with containerization using

Docker

. You are proficient with version control systems, specifically

Git

, for managing code changes and collaboration. It is a strong plus if you have experience with data orchestration, such as

Apache NiFi

,

Prefect

, or comparable solutions. Exposure to

Machine Learning

concepts or frameworks is a distinct advantage.
