Senior Project Manager* iCITI Downstream

As part of the iNeST continuous improvement, transfer and integration (iCITI) team at BioNTech, you will be responsible for cross-functional teams in a variety of development projects for our downstream manufacturing process for our individualized cancer therapies pipeline and late phase CMC development projects that support our clinical trials. Your main responsibilities are:
  • Planning, coordination, integration, execution, monitoring, and closure of complex multidisciplinary development modules
  • Integrate program strategy and operational execution across all the functional areas and work packages in delivering the program’s goals and the team’s success (scope, budget, time, quality)
  • Create and maintain a high performing team of project managers
  • Lead cross-functional teams (internal and external) within a complex project and support project work hands-on where required
  • Lead and support the implementation of company-wide new processes and process improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency
  • Establish and ensure efficient content and information flow between interdisciplinary teams incl. routine status reporting and project reviews to ensure that project goals meet companies vision and strategy

What you have to offer.

  • Successful degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Engineering, Life Sciences or similar field
  • Several years of experience in managing projects and cross-functional teams, preferable to have previous working experience in a regulated environment (e.g. GCP/ GCLP, GMP)
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
  • Preferably background in Pharma and/or CMC
  • Fast perception of new knowledge and efficient problem-solving skills with high personal commitment within a matrix and fast paced environment
  • Willingness to handle complex projects across multiple departments and with collaboration partners
  • Very good English skills, written and orally (German skills are also desirable but not essential)
